Flambeau Product's is now offering the latest in eco-friendly cases. For those fishermen or outdoorsmen that care about the the environment and the land, water, and air, Flambeau Products introduces its new line of biodegradable cases! These cases, once they reach a landfill, will completely dissolve into Bio-Mass (highly nutritious soil) within one to five years! How they work is that the molecular structure of the plastic contains specific nutrients and organic compounds in the polymer chain not usually found in plastics. This altered plastic microbial interaction within a landfill to colonize in and around the plastic. These microbes then use enzymes to digest and eventually dissolve the polymer chain, leading to the biodegradation of the polymer. If you are worried the case may start biodegrading to soon, then just know that Flambeau's biodegradable cases will not degrade because of UV radiation, moisture, heat, or mechanical stress. These cases have an indefinite shelf-life and are made to only degrade in an active microbial environment, aka a landfill.
